Formerly known as Nuevo Vallarta is 6 miles north from the Puerto Vallarta airport, it could be called Puerto Vallarta but due to the reason that it is out of the Jalisco state borders and is part of Nayarit state, it’s got that name.

Nuevo Vallarta forms part of this Riviera. It is a gated community that boasts some of the best resorts around as well as fine dining, spectacular golf courses, shopping malls and one of the best tour companies.

There is available space for biking, jogging and is very accomodating that public transportation is right out of almost every resort. Buses are normally better than their american counterparts.

Up north you will find fine beaches such as Destiladeras and Punta de Mita as well as Sayulita which is great for surfing (there is a surfing community there).
